Would you believe that swapping out your own DIY product and brand photography for professional commercial photography has that power?

Just ask Emily Ley, creator of the Simplified Planner about her experience when she began using professional product styling and photography for her shop...

"We have seen a 300-400% increase in sales since hiring Shay.” EMILY LEY

But what if you don’t have the budget or time to hire a commercial photographer?

ENTER THE SC STOCKSHOP.

As a commercial product stylist and photographer I hear from hundreds of small creative business owners in the early stages of owning a business. The frustrations are all the same, how does a new business with a great product or service compete with larger, well branded businesses with big photography budgets? These small businesses desperately need polished and consistent imagery on their websites and various social media platforms in order for their potential clients to give them a fighting chance!

Out of a desire to help these discouraged business owners and at the suggestion of a client, I pioneered the concept of styled stock photography, an idea that has since taken the creative world by storm!

In between styling and shooting for global commercial brands, I fill the SC Stockshop with stunning styled stock image collections that business can build their entire brand around. In the end, these business owners see increases in sales, attract more customers, experience greater social media engagement and create brand recognition that gives their product, service or blog a fighting chance in this competitive digital age!

HERE'S WHAT TWO STOCKSHOP USERS HAD TO SAY:

"My little print shop business doubled in revenue the first two weeks I used Shay’s images.” COURTNEY KIRKLAND

“After using Shay's styled stock mug images It only took 5 hours for two of our mug designs to sell out!” BIRDIE BLISS DESIGNS

This is how powerful the right styled stock imagery can be for your brand.

Let's say your brand color palette looks like this:

The easiest way to begin your search for the perfect collection of images would be to use the Search by Color feature on our website:

Now let’s say you want to consistently incorporate a cohesive set of images across your entire brand experience for the most impact.
You might need:

• A hero image for the homepage of your website
• An image or two to use as custom site buttons or page headers on your site
• Or a nice Facebook cover photo and a few images that you can use regularly on your blog and on social media.

We have already taken the guess work out by selecting a cohesive set of images with our Brand Builder image sets.

In this case, let’s say you select this image set:

This will provide you with a great starting point.

You can always come back to the shop and search again by color to find other images to fit your needs,
maybe a vertical styling for Pinterest or a lifestyle image with a tech screen for all of those blog or web related announcements.

simply by zooming in and cropping different portions of the original image.

NOW, IN PLAIN ENGLISH

These images have been designed to become a part of your branding just like a logo or font choice.

As an entrepreneur yourself, you know how frustrating and discouraging it can be when people misuse, steal, giveaway or alter your work. With that in mind, please don't change the colors or move the props around - it just doesn't look as good (and infringes on the usage terms)!

Feel free to crop the image any way that you want and overlay it with text or designs to help you to promote your brand and sell more products!

By purchasing the image you are agreeing not to give the image (or a part of the image) away to anyone else in ANY way even if you turned it into a beautiful free e-book cover, or snazzy desktop screen savor.

It would also be just plain wrong to re-sell the image in any form such as turning it into an art print or including it in a website or other template design.

Lastly, using an SC Stockshop image to sell your styling course, webinar or other styling related training is sort of false advertising. Show them the styling that YOU have done so that they know exactly what they are in for and can get excited!  This is not meant to scare you.

If you have any questions or concerns about the legal use of our images please don't hesitate to shoot us an e-mail! We don't bite!
